Conservative groups hosting multiple Birmingham-area candidate forums Thursday

Rainy Day Patriots Tea Party and the 60 Plus Association have teamed up to host a 6th Congressional District debate on Thursday at Hoover Tactical Firearms. Meanwhile a few miles north, the Alabama Policy Institute will be hosting a meet and greet and question and answer time with State House candidates from House Districts 46 and 47.

Here are the details:

What: 6th Congressional District Debate hosted by Rainy Day Patriots and The 60 Plus Association
When: Thursday, May 15th — doors open at 5 p.m., debate starts at 6 p.m.
Where: Hoover Tactical Firearms | 1561 Montgomery Hwy. S. Birmingham, Ala. 35216
Who: All 6th Congressional District candidates are confirmed
*The event will also be streamed live on Birmingham’s CBS42/WIAT-TV

“The goal of this debate is to present voters with the opportunity to hear solutions over sound bites,” said 60 Plus Association State Director Apryl Marie Fogel. “America is facing many challenges and the seniors of Alabama’s 6th district need to hear from each of the candidates in this race to make an informed decision about who will best represent them in Washington, D.C. I’m looking forward to a robust debate on the issues, and urge voters to take the time to turnout for this important discussion.”

What: State House candidates meet and great and Q&A hosted by the Alabama Policy Institute
When: Thursday, May 15th at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Regions Park
Who: All State House District 46 and 47 candidates are confirmed
Food: Heavy hors d’oeuvres including Dreamland BBQ, chicken sliders, hamburgers, etc.
Parking: On-site parking in parking lot on corner of 14th St and 3rd Ave, as well as street side parking.
