Can’t make the Bama game this weekend? Donate your ticket to a veteran

The University of Alabama Athletics Department, led by Athletic Director Greg Byrne, is encouraging Crimson Tide fans to proactively donate tickets they do not intend on using this weekend to American veterans who want to attend a beautiful fall game in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Nick Saban’s football team will face off against Western Carolina at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

While it is not a marquee matchup, it is Senior Day — and players freshman and veteran alike always want to see a supportive crowd cheering them on to victory.

In Wednesday tweets, Alabama Athletics and Byrne personally urged fans to consider the option of donating their tickets to a military service member through Vet Tix.

This is an option available to fans for every Bama home game, just as the option is always there to transfer a ticket to a friend. Both options “are free and easy” and can be done through the Athletics website here.

Veterans interested in Vet Tix can view their website here.
