Could Auburn University take the “Happiest place on earth” title away from Disneyland? Okay, probably not, but working around Toomer’s Corner and Jordan-Hare Stadium does have employees, at the college feeling good, resulting in a career website dubbing it the “Happiest University in the Nation to Work”.
Auburn University received a rating of 4.40 out of five from careerbliss.com on how happy its employees are at work. The website looked at factors that lead to employee happiness, including work-life balance, relationship with the boss, growth opportunity, company culture and several other criteria.
“Our unique data offers students and faculty a chance to see what factors drive happiness at work within the university system,” said Heidi Golledge, CEO and co-founder of CareerBliss. “CareerBliss recognizes those universities that excel in providing a happy work culture.”
Information was gathered from more than 70,000 independent company reviews from 2012-2013. A minimum of 10 reviews per university were taken.
Other Universities near the top of the list include Carnegie Mellon, Texas Tech, Northeastern, and Georgia Tech. No other SEC schools made the list.
