Auburn Conservatives for Tomorrow (ACT) and Young America’s Foundation will host An Evening with Steve Forbes on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Auburn Arena.
“The event will be primarily a business/economic forum where students, elected officials, and business leaders from across the state will gather to hear Mr. Forbes speak on economic issues facing our state and nation,” said Hunter Pearce, Vice President of Auburn Conservatives for Tomorrow.
A VIP Dinner & photo op are scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, and the Keynote Speech starts at 7:30 PM. Admission to Forbes’ keynote address is free for students and $30 for non-students at the door. Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey, an Auburn graduate, will be the event’s special guest.
Steve Forbes is Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media. The company’s flagship publication, Forbes, is the nation’s leading business magazine with a circulation of just under 1,000,000.
In 1996 and 2000, Mr. Forbes campaigned for the Republican nomination for President. He is the author of How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People and Free Markets Are the Best Answer in Today’s Economy.
Mr. Forbes received a B.A. in History from Princeton University. He serves on the boards of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, the Heritage Foundation, and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
