Alabamians buy this on eBay more than anything else

The Alabama Tourism department decided in July to trade in the “Alabama the Beautiful” signs that have welcomed travelers to the state since 2003, and replace them with signs that say “Welcome to Sweet Home Alabama,” the state’s official marketing slogan. However, that doesn’t mean that Alabamians and out-of-staters alike aren’t still enjoying the incredible Alabama outdoors.

As a matter of fact, according to a graphic just released by eBay, Alabamians buy more camping goods on the popular online auction website than any other product.

In the graphic below, you can see what products residents in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia are most likely to buy on eBay.

For instance, to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s dismay, residents of his state are most likely to buy firearms and supplies. And people in Washington, D.C., are most likely to buy luggage, presumably because they want to get the heck out of there.

Check out the graphic below to see what folks in other states are buying. Any surprises? Let us know in the comment section below or by tweeting @YHPolitics.
