Alabamian invents ‘Two Trumps and a Lie’ card game, raising money for production — ‘Make Game Night Great Again!’

A Birmingham native has invented a new card game based on the legendary quotability of President Donald J. Trump.

The game, “Two Trumps and a Lie,” was created by Seth Griffin, chief creative officer for Magic City-based Telegraph Creative.

In summary, each card has three quotes on it: two real things Trump has said and one fabricated.

Players earn a card when they correctly guess which one is the fake quote, and whoever has the most cards at the end of the game wins.

With your help, the idea for the game can become a reality.

A Kickstarter is currently raising money to produce the first edition of the card game. The goal is $10,000 by September 12, and more than $4,700 has already been crowdsourced from 115 different backers.

“All we need are enough backers to justify our first production run of the game. So pony up, get your game, invite some friends over and tell them it’s BYOC (Bring Your Own Covfefe), because we’re going to Make Game Night Great Again!” Griffin wrote on the Kickstarter.

There are different tiers of donations, with many of them including a complementary first edition version of the game. A set of themed koozies are also being produced based on the game.

“There is about a 10 week turnaround on production of the game. If the project is fully funded, we will begin production and ship immediately after,” Griffin advised.

In a statement to Yellowhammer News about the game, Griffin added, “It’s not a pro-Trump or anti-Trump game. I think we can all agree no one’s ever been as uniquely quotable as Trump, and it’s a lot of fun trying to figure out which quotes are really him and which ones were invented out of thin air.”
