BESSEMER, Ala. — The popular Alabama-based tea company Milo’s just announced a new brew of peach tea just in time for the scorching Summer months. Like Milo’s other teas, the peach tea is made from custom-blended tea leaves and pure cane sugar, but it now includes natural peach flavors.

Milo’s Peach Tea can be picked up in the new half-gallon size, as can its classic Famous Sweet Tea. However, the teas must be kept refrigerated because they contain no preservatives, colors, or acids.

The peach tea is only available for a limited time, and it can be purchased at select stores across the Southeast this week.

The business has been family owned and operated for three generations. Milo and Bea Carlton founded Milo’s Restaurant in Bessemer in 1946 after Milo returned from serving in World War II. Milo’s philosophy was simple – use high quality, fresh, natural ingredients, listen to your customers and never sacrifice taste. In 1989, Milo’s began selling its fresh brewed Famous Sweet Tea to local Birmingham grocery stores. It can now be found in thousands of retailers across the United States.

Milo’s has been recognized nationally and internationally for the quality of its products. Most recently, the company’s Famous Sweet Tea won the Global Tea Championship, marking the seventh year in a row that Milo’s won or placed at the event.

“My grandfather, Milo, was always focused on the customer,” Milo’s CEO Tricia Wallwork said. “71 years later, our team continues to focus on and celebrate our loyal fans across the country who have helped us share the Milo’s Difference.”
