7. Red flag laws in response to the shooting at the Covenant Christian School are dead in the Legislature in Tennessee. However, the attempt to increase armed security in schools is still alive with one bill allowing law enforcement to decide to place the officers into schools without school resource officers.
6. U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) wants the Government Accountability Office to probe the decision to steal Space Command HQ from Alabama. The Distressed Institutions of Higher Education Resolving Loan Program lays out a scenario for relief that only Birmingham-Southern College could meet.
