7. Two Tennessee lawmakers were expelled from the Tennessee State House for breaking House rules, so the media is pretending it is over race and gun control. Former Alabama U.S. Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) fell for it and gave them money,
6. After bills focused on distracted driving and smoking with kids in the car seemed to run into questions over enforcement being focused on minorities, for some reason, the Alabama State Senate passed a bill intended to crack down on street racing, which appears to be enjoyed by crowds that are overwhelming black.

4. Birmingham-Southern College will remain open until the end of the fall semester after $40-plus million in private donations were secured, but much more needs to be raised. The judge is forbidden from doing this, the American Bar Association states that judges are banned from, “soliciting funds for, paying an assessment to, or making a contribution to a political organization or candidate.”
