According to filings posted on the Federal Election Commission’s website on Wednesday afternoon, Republican congressional hopeful Bradley Byrne is getting a huge boost from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Byrne formally received the the Chamber’s endorsement in an announcement in Foley on Tuesday. And according to the FEC, the Chamber is now pumping over $185,000 into pro-Byrne advertising for the stretch run in his contest with Dean Young, which is set for next Tuesday. The Chamber’s ad buying is being done by Alexandria, Va.-based Revolution Agency.

Third party groups are not allowed to coordinate with campaigns, so this expenditure is being done independent of the Byrne camp, but it will no doubt be a major boost to them in the final 5 days of the campaign.
