Mike Rogers secures $915,000 in funding for Alabama first responders

(Congressman Mike Rogers)

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers announced Wednesday morning that he has managed to secure more than $915,000 in federal funding for local fire departments in Alabama’s 3rd Congressional district, which includes Lee, Talladega, Calhoun and Russell Counties.

Rogers (R-Saks) said the funding will help increase the level of safety for both first responders and the communities they serve.

“I am proud to announce over $915,000 in federal money is coming to first responders in Alabama’s Third Congressional District,” said the Congressman. “This funding will bring our community’s firefighters essential supplies to perform their duties and ensure their safety.”

The financial support for the first responders has been made possible through the Department of Homeland Security’s FY 2023 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
