Michael Flynn endorses Casey Wardynski’s AL-5 candidacy — ‘Rarely does our country have the opportunity to elect true patriots’

The fifth congressional district campaign of Casey Wardynski on Tuesday announced that it had earned the endorsement of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

Flynn, Wardynski’s colleague in the administration of former President Donald Trump, served as the 25th U.S. national security advisor. Wardynski served as assistant secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

In a statement outlining his support of Wardynski’s candidacy, Flynn asserted that the candidate’s values reflected those of the district’s constituency.

“In times like these, it is incumbent upon good men to stand up for others,” declared Flynn. “We are witnessing the attempted destruction of our nation from the top down, and we can no longer sit idly by or passively vote for weak representatives to send to our nation’s capital.”

He added, “[L]ike myself, Casey has successfully taken on the swamp – and won. A retired Army Colonel of 30 years, and father of three servicemembers, he understands the importance of a strong national defense as well as the needs of our Veterans. A lifelong conservative, he embodies the values of north Alabamians.”

Flynn proclaimed that Wardynski, during his service to the Trump administration, had assisted the former president in securing the nation’s southern border and removing Critical Race Theory teachings from the United States Military Academy curriculum.

“Vigilant, he sees the threat of weak election laws and the imminent need for new election integrity measures,” continued Flynn. “A doer who helped President Trump build the wall and get Critical Race Theory out of West Point; he won’t hesitate to fight for us. An economist, he has the knowledge to stop inflation in its tracks and get tough on China again.”

In reference to his service as the former superintendent of Huntsville City Schools, Flynn stated that Wardynski would push back against progressive policies as it relates to education.

“A leader in education, he will fight for parents’ rights in the classroom and end left-wing indoctrination of our children,” advised Flynn. “Rarely does our country have the opportunity to elect true patriots like Casey Wardynski.”

He concluded, “I strongly and wholeheartedly endorse him and encourage the citizens of north Alabama to support him at the polls on May 24.”
