Inc.com, one of the country’s top business websites, has announced their 2013 Hire Power Awards honorees. “This impressive crop of companies are creating jobs — 51,327 in 18 months, to be exact — and keeping the economy moving forward,” Inc.com wrote to explain the list.
Inc.com honored Steve Jones, co-CEO of Universal Services of America as the country’s top job creator. Jones’s company, which “turns janitors and security guards into leaders,” has created a whopping 14,240 jobs over the last 18 months.
The health and financial services sectors of the economy are the most well represented on the Inc.com Hire Power list, closely followed by software, human resources and IT services.
In addition to breaking the list down by types of companies, Inc.com also created lists of each state’s top innovative, job creating companies.
Hargrove Engineers + Constructors was Alabama’s only representative on the Inc.com overall Top 100 job creators, coming in at number 54. But the companies below made up the top 10 Alabama companies honored on the Hire Power state-by-state list.
