Manufacture Alabama has endorsed Caroleene Dobson in her bid for Alabama Secretary of State, citing her private sector background and understanding of issues facing the state’s manufacturing industry.

“Manufacture Alabama endorses Caroleene Dobson because of her deep commitment to Alabama, her proven record in the private sector, and her understanding of the issues affecting manufacturers across our state,” said Jon Barganier, president of Manufacture Alabama.

“Caroleene has the experience, integrity and determination it takes to oversee Alabama’s business filings and elections process, and she will ensure that both are handled with the efficiency, fairness and transparency the people of Alabama deserve. On behalf of manufacturers across our state, we are pleased to give Caroleene Dobson our full endorsement for Secretary of State.”

Dobson, a Beatrice native, is an attorney at Maynard Nexsen, where she represents homebuilders, retailers, small business owners and landowners. She has emphasized that the experience she’s gained in real estate law will inform her leadership style if elected Secretary of State.

“Alabama’s manufacturers represent the best of American industry, and the products and jobs they create are vital to our state’s economic resilience,” Dobson said.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of Manufacture Alabama and look forward to working with manufacturers to lower the cost of doing business and stand with President Trump to fight unfair trade practices so Alabama-made products can compete in markets worldwide.”

Manufacture Alabama is the state’s only trade association focused solely on the legislative, regulatory and operational interests of manufacturers and their partner industries. It represents hundreds of companies — from large international corporations to small, family-owned operations — that play a key role in Alabama’s economy and job market.
