Candidate for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Bryan Taylor, has recently picked up several crucial endorsements in a competitive race that will appear on the March 5, 2024 GOP primary ballot. His latest endorsement comes from Manufacture Alabama, the state’s top trade association representing manufacturers and their partner industries.
Taylor, a former Alabama State Senator, legal advisor to two previous governors, and Army Judge Advocate, said his conservative judicial philosophy is resonating with key groups in the state.
“I’m extremely grateful for the support of Manufacture Alabama,” Taylor said.
“Their endorsement underscores that I’m the candidate with a conservative judicial philosophy who is supported by conservative business owners and job creators, because I understand that fairness under the law is critical to projecting a business-friendly climate. The courts must be partners in our state’s economic development efforts by producing fair, predictable, consistent outcomes in cases based on the law as written. That’s how we’ll continue to attract and keep good paying jobs in Alabama and produce economic growth and prosperity for all our citizens.”

President and CEO of Manufacture Alabama, Jon Barganier, said the industries his group represents has recognized the priority Taylor is placing on those key principles.
“His understanding of issues affecting manufacturers and his experience serving in the Legislature and the Executive Branch of state government provides him with the unique qualifications to serve our court system at the highest level,” Barganier said.
“The manufacturing industry understands the critical importance of a fair and impartial judiciary, and we are confident that Bryan will uphold these principles and strictly interpret laws as they are created by the Legislature.”
According to the group, Taylor’s focus on Constitutional law and appeals, coupled with his dedication to economic growth and safeguarding private property rights, strongly resonates with Alabama’s manufacturing community.
Taylor will face Associate Supreme Court Justice Sarah Stewart in the March 5, 2024 Republican Primary for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.
