Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell spoke to the University of Alabama football team before their victory over then-No. 1 Mississippi State. We would normally write something to go along with this, but this time you just need to drop everything you’re doing and watch.

UPDATE from the Sporting News: “Alabama’s digital media licensing partner, XOS Digital, told Sporting News that video was actually from a different speaking engagement with a football team and simply had Alabama football clips layered over the top.”

Luttrell did deliver a speech to the Tide before they played Mississippi State, though, and it sounds like it was every bit as inspirational.

“It was awesome,” tight end Brian Vogler said of Luttrell’s remarks. “I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Any time you can talk to somebody like that, you’re completely locked in to everything that’s going on, every word that’s coming out of his mouth. Honestly, once he got done talking I wanted to run through a brick wall. That’s how exciting it was.”
