Alabama man arrested after skinny dipping in Bass Pro Shops aquarium

On Thursday, a man unclothed himself and climbed into the large aquarium at Bass Pro Shop in Leeds, according to Police Chief Paul Irwin.

It’s been reported the man was acting erratically before the incident.

According to AL.com, the man, identified as George Owens, 42, of Leeds, was taken for a mental health evaluation and booked into the St. Clair County Jail. Irwin said Owens was only in the store for about five minutes before being taken into custody.

Owens was charged with public lewdness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and two counts of reckless endangerment, according to jail records.
