The situation in Dadeville, which left 4 dead and 28 wounded, is still largely a mystery as of Monday morning.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m. Saturday during a birthday celebration in the 200 block of Broadnax Street.

Two news conferences Sunday did not confirm details about suspects, shooter motivations, or the victims.

“We are absolutely trying to confirm and understand everyone that was in the venue near the 200 block last night,” said Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

“We’re going to do exactly what we need to do to ensure justice is brought to bear for those families.”

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call 1-800-392-8011 or email the crime tip line at sbi.investigations@alea.gov.

No matter how large or small, “we need you to share it,” Burkett said.

Central Alabama Crimestoppers has offered a reward for any information leading to a suspect.
