New Heating & Air Training Center to Open at Bevill State in Jasper, Alabama

Governor Kay Ivey, Senate Majority Leader Greg Reed (R-Jasper) and others were on hand today to introduce the Alabama Power’s new state-of-the-art training facility in Jasper.

Alabama Power is teaming up with Bevill State Community College to create a program that will give its students the opportunity to become certified in this new HVA/C program. This will be an invaluable new offering for Bevill State, given the success, the program has had in its previous home in Clanton.  Since 1968, the Clanton center has provided training, professional development, and continuing education to over 33,000 participants from 45 states and for countries.

Following today’s event, Governor Ivey, Senator Reed, and other business leaders are meeting for an economic development reception in the Jasper Civic Center, where the Governor s scheduled to speak on the opportunities for economic growth and field questions from those in attendance.
