Katie Britt’s memoir becomes nationwide bestseller

U.S. Senator Katie Britt’s memoir, “God Calls Us To Do Hard Things: Lessons from the Alabama Wiregrass” clocked in at #19 on the USA Today bestsellers list after one week in circulation.

Britt (R-Montgomery) traveled the state last week, signing copies of her book for friends and fans, on top of a busy Senate calendar back in Washington.

In the book, Britt shares life lessons and common-sense advice, fit for an audience of all ages. Much of the book’s substance deals with overcoming obstacles in life, being committed to the small details and being unafraid to fail.

“A lot of times we see the peaks of people’s lives, especially in the age of social media,” Britt said Tuesday on Fox & Friends. “But in this book, I talk about my valleys because I believe that’s where God carved you and, honestly, no matter how you got there, you will be more willing to walk forward and share his purpose for you.”

Recently named to the Senate Republicans’ leadership advisory team, Britt has become an influential conservative voice in Washington. As her new memoir climbs the bestsellers charts, her profile continues to grow across the country.
