Katie Britt accuses Biden of showing ‘total weakness’ with China

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is expected to visit Taiwan soon during her tour of Asia. China has denounced the trip and called on the congresswoman to cancel it.

Many Republicans have supported Pelosi’s possible visit to the island nation, while President Joe Biden has not been as supportive. The Biden administration has warned Pelosi of the potential national security risks of the trip to the island. The White House has also expressed concern that the visit could hurt U.S.-China relations.

Katie Britt, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Alabama, said on WVNN’s “The Dale Jackson Show” that this was just another example of Biden’s “total weakness” when it came to China.

“We have got to have leaders that understand that you deter war through strength,” Britt said, “and once again, we are seeing Joe Biden show total weakness. He showed it with Afghanistan, he’s shown it with Russia, and now, he’s once again showing it with China.”

The Senate candidate warned that Biden’s action set a bad example to the rest of the world on how to deal with the communist country.

“Our adversaries across the world are watching us,” she said. “The fact that he wouldn’t stand with Speaker Pelosi and stand and be bullied by the Chinese Communist Party is a disgrace. It’s despicable and unacceptable.”

Britt called on leaders in Washington, D.C. to “wake up” to the real threats from China.

“Everything from manufacturing to the infiltration of fentanyl through our border, to taking jobs, I mean, just the whole thing,” she explained. “And what they’re doing there we turn a blind eye to consistently to the humanitarian crisis that occurs there every single day. It’s disgusting.”

She advised the Biden administration wasn’t just failing to address the problems with China but also letting the country down when it comes to the economy, the border and other issues.

“What we are seeing is just continued incompetency from the leadership in Washington D.C.,” she argued. “We know what causes inflation and yet they still go back and want to spend more and raise taxes and not address the chaos at the border, not address the danger overseas. Unfortunately they’re more interested in pushing a liberal agenda and finding ways to infiltrate their agenda into the daily lives of hardworking Alabamians and Americans than they are about actually fixing problems and creating solutions.”

Britt reiterated that these problems were why she decided to run for office in the first place.

“I’m excited to get up there to be a part of the solution,” she said, “to make sure that we unleash American energy, that we cut red tape, that we stop government spending, and that we get this country back on track.”
