Katherine Robertson to host fundraiser in Miami with Louisiana, Mississippi AGs

Katherine Robertson, a Republican candidate for Alabama attorney general, will hold a meet-and-greet fundraiser later this week in Miami, Florida according to an invitation obtained by Yellowhammer News.

Hosts include Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry and First Lady Sharon Landry, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, and Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch.

The out-of-state event comes as fundraising in the 2026 GOP primary continues to intensify.

Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell has maintained a cash-on-hand advantage throughout the summer. Recent reports show the two leading campaigns posting tightly matched monthly hauls.

Robertson entered the race in June with current AG Steve Marshall’s public endorsement.

Mitchell resigned from the state’s high court earlier this year to run for AG, and the contest has grown more combative in recent weeks as the campaigns spar over donors and outside support.
