Alabama man robs Subway because ‘Jared Diet’ didn’t work, gets shoutout from Jimmy Fallon

Every once in awhile, something so bizarre happens in Alabama that the rest of the country happens to take notice.

Last night, during his opening monologue on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon shared the story of Zachary Raphael Torrence, the Alabama man accused of robbing four Subway restaurants over four days. When asked why he was targeting Subways, Torrence told police that he had tried the “Jared diet,” but it didn’t work for him, so he wanted his money back.
