Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows headline Barry Moore for Senate fundraiser

Just over a week after kicking off his bid for the United States Senate seat soon to be vacated by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) hosted fellow U.S. Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Warren Davidson (R-Ohio), as well as former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, at a campaign fundraiser.

“The energy we are seeing across Alabama is strong, and together we’re building a movement rooted in faith, family, and freedom,” Moore said in a statement provided to Yellowhammer News.

“Our fundraiser was an example of the support we’re seeing all across the state and nation, and I’m so grateful for everyone, especially my good friends Jim Jordan, Warren Davidson, and Mark Meadows, who came out to support this campaign.”

Moore has long had an ally in Jordan and hosted the Ohio congressman at a campaign event in Robertsdale during his 2024 primary race against then-Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile).

Earlier this year, Moore teamed up with Davidson to introduce the “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) Research Act of 2025,” which would allow already appropriated National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding to be used to study “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a term used to describe excessively negative attitudes toward President Donald Trump.

Meadows, now a Senior Partner at the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI), is also a powerful ally for Moore. CPI, founded in 2017 by former Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), has become an influential resource for Republican members of Congress and staffers on legislative business in Washington.

Moore’s Senate bid is off to an impressive start, with a standing-room-only crowd at his kickoff rally in DeKalb County and a recent endorsement from DeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF).

The Alabama Republican Party primaries are scheduled for May 19, 2026.
