Jalen Milroe to appear in celebrity softball game at Rickwood Field

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe will appear in the “Fan Jam” celebrity softball game at Birmingham’s Rickwood Field on June 19th.

The game, which will “embrace the culture, style and skill of the Negro Leagues,” is being hosted in the run-up to June 20th’s MLB at Rickwood Field game between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals. It will be played on Juneteenth as part of an event officially entitled Barnstorm Birmingham and will be followed by a performance from hip-hop artist Metro Boomin.

Milroe is one of several celebrities with Alabama connections that will appear in the game, joining NFL quarterback Jameis Winston, a Hueytown High School alumnus, and comedian Roy Wood Jr., a Birmingham native.

The game will be played at 7 PM and will be televised on MLB Network. The event is open to fans and tickets can be purchased for $24 at mlb.com/events/rickwood.
