Ivey, female governors team up for ‘real women of politics’ parody

As the risk of backlash and boycotts further cripples nationwide sales of Bud Light in response to its controversial partnership with a transgender influencer – America’s female Republican governors – including Gov. Kay Ivey – rolled out some new branding of their own.

Gov. Sarah Sanders (R-Arkansas) announced the new line of koozies, saying, “Real women don’t have to fake it.”

“Today we salute all the real woman leaders of this great country,” the video says. “Now, you can salute the real women of politics at every backyard and tailgate.

“And if it covers up the label of a big, woke company – well, that works too.”

The controversy began when Bud Light sent transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney a personalized pack of beer to celebrate one year since Mulvaney began identifying as a woman.

Sanders, Ivey and Govs. Kristi Noem (R-South Dakota) andKim Reynolds (R-Iowa) share an effort to “protect kids” and “empower parents” across their administrations.

The line of merch is not just satire. A Gov. Kay Ivey “real woman” beverage sleeve can be purchased as a two-pack.
