Inaugural Alabama Select Horse Sale set for early March in Montgomery

The Southeastern Livestock Exposition’s (SLE) inaugural Alabama Select Horse Sale is set for March 7-8, 2025, at the Teague Arena, located on the Garrett Coliseum grounds. Sponsored by Trustmark, the event will offer horse enthusiasts an opportunity to connect, buy, and sell quality horses.

SLE President Linwood McClain said the event is shaping up to be something special for interested attendees.

“Adding this new event to our annual rodeo and livestock week festivities provides a great opportunity for folks interested in buying or selling horses,” McClain said. “We are looking forward to hosting this event and hope it will  continue to grow and prosper for years to come.”

The weekend will begin March 7 with a dinner and consignor meet-and-greet followed by a live auction featuring autographed memorabilia by Jamey Johnson, decorative metal yard art, homemade cakes, and more. A sale horse preview begins the next morning from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, prior to the Alabama Select Horse Sale at 12:00PM.
