Illegal alien in Cullman County arrested by ICE for reentry; child sex abuse charge pending

(Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

On June 25, federal authorities arrested a man living in Cullman County for illegally reentering the United States. Officials say Adalberto Guerrero-Alba has already been deported multiple times in the past.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) received information about his location in May 2025 and made the arrest last week.

Cullman County District Attorney Champ Crocker confirmed the arrest and thanked ICE for their role in apprehending Guerrero-Alba.

“Our team appreciates Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) working with us and our victim’s family to get him removed,” Crocker said.

Illegal immigration is not the only charge Guerrero-Alba now faces. In March 2023, he was also charged with sexually abusing a child under the age of 12 in Cullman County.

According to ABC 33/40, court records show that Guerrero-Alba was deported twice before—in 1997 and again in 2006. There is no record of his legal reentry into the United States.

A federal judge overseeing the case has found probable cause to proceed with the immigration charge, while the child sex abuse allegation remains pending in Cullman County.
