The popular History Channel television show American Pickers has selected Alabama as the next stop on its quest to find the most fascinating antique collections. According to the official casting call, producers are looking for ““interesting people with interesting items and lots of them.”

American Pickers has aired 16 seasons and stars Mike Wolf and Frank Fritz. The pickers travel around the United States to buy or “pick” various items for resale, for clients, or for their own personal collections. Over the years, Wolf and Fritz have collected various hidden treasures like vintage cars, old commercial signage, and classic film memorabilia.

“Every region has its own unique
history, so Mike and Frank try to visit as many areas of the country as they can,” Supervising Producer Ben Epstein said to OA Now. “The people of the South are so incredibly warm and have such a rich history; it’s always an interesting place to pick.”

No specific dates have been set, but interested people are encouraged to reach out to the pickers immediately. To get in contact with the producers, those trying to get on the show should call 1-855-OLD-RUST (653-7878) or email AmericanPickers@cineflitwitter.com. Producers need the name of the owner, the location of the collection, and several photographs of the items with included descriptions.

You can watch a trailer for the show that explains “what picking is” below.
