High Stepper: Kay Ivey ranked fifth most popular governor in the nation

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has been one of the nation’s most popular governors for years running, virtually since first taking office in 2017.

According to the latest quarterly survey from Morning Consult, her approval rating has continued that status, now in the top five of all governors in the U.S. The poll consults thousands of voters throughout the country on major political and electoral issues.

Ivey’s approval rating for her job performance came in at 64%, with a 30% disapproval rating.

In addition, Ivey has the highest approval rating of GOP governors among Republican voters in their respective states at 86%.
