With just over a week until the Nov. 8 general election, Gov. Kay Ivey has released a campaign ad touting the state’s economic successes under her administration.

During Ivey’s tenure as governor, Alabama has experienced the lowest unemployment rate in state history, the creation of 65,000 new jobs and $32 billion in new capital investment.

“I’m Kay Ivey, and I love Alabama. The past four years we have created thousands of new jobs, built the best business climate in all 50 states, and delivered the lowest unemployment in 202 years of trying,” says Ivey in the ad. “We’ve got a lot more to do here in Alabama, but there’s no step too high for a high-stepper.

“Alabama is working again, and the best is yet to come.”

William Califf, Ivey’s campaign manager, declared the state was “thriving” under the governor’s leadership.

“With the best business environment in the entire nation, Alabama’s economy is thriving,” said Califf in a release. “Governor Ivey’s economic success speaks for itself – look at the thousands of new jobs and new investments into our economy and infrastructure.

“This is why Kay Ivey is going to be re-elected Governor by the people of Alabama – actions speak louder than words – and while others talk, our Governor has consistently delivered for the people of our state.”
