Governor Kay Ivey’s campaign off and running

Governor Kay Ivey officially kicked off her campaign for governor Tuesday.

She said she has done her best to steady the scandal-ridden “Ship of State.”

As Lieutenant Governor, Ivey became governor last April after former governor Robert Bentley resigned amid threats of impeachment by the Legislature.

Ivey spoke at a rally in Montgomery Tuesday and emphasized economic successes like Toyota and Mazda locating in Huntsville.
