U.S. Rep Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said Vice President Kamala Harris showed the country she’s not fit to be President during an interview on CNN. Harris joined her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for her first sit down interview since becoming the Democratic nominee for President.

“Last night’s CNN interview with Vice President Harris raised even more questions in the minds of the American people about her fitness to serve as President,” Palmer said. “The only true statement made during the interview was that her values have not changed. This was her way of saying to her base that, regardless of her current moderate stances, she is still the same left-wing San Francisco radical she has always been. She wants them to understand that despite what she says on the campaign trail, you will get the same Kamala Harris you have always known.”

CNN anchor Dana Bash asked Harris about why she has reversed herself on many issues like support for a wall at the U.S. southern border.

“I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed,” Harris said. “I have always believed, and I have worked on it, that the climate crisis is real.”

Palmer said he’s not buying it and believes she would govern as a far left Progressive Democrat.

“If elected, Harris will keep the same policies that made gas prices higher, groceries too expensive, house prices unaffordable, allowed transgender boys to play in women’s sports, and made our border unsecure. She has not changed, but the American people need a change.”
