Valerie Jarrett, who served as senior advisor to former President Barack Obama, will be in Birmingham for a campaign event for Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) next week.

An email from Jones’ campaign sent Tuesday stated that Jarrett will lead a “Women for One Alabama” panel discussion; “One Alabama” is Jones’ 2020 reelection slogan.

The email described Jarrett as “a renowned businesswoman, author, lawyer, public servant, and former Senior Advisor to Barack Obama.”

“[W]e are honored to have her in Birmingham,” the event page added.

The public is invited to attend. Tickets cost a recommended $10, however, the price is optional.
