TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Heisman trophy finalist, 2014 Biletnikoff Award award winner, and University of Alabama permanent team captain Amari Cooper has landed his first big product endorsement since going pro this year.
“On the field I need to be manipulative,” the famously soft-spoken wide receiver says in the commercial. “When I’m breaking to the left I need to make them think I’m going to the right.”
Cutting and spinning downfield in Nike’s Alpha Speed cleats, Cooper’s signature moves on camera offer just a glimpse of the potential for success he will have once being drafted Thursday evening.
This commercial certainly isn’t the first time Cooper has worn Nike; the University of Alabama’s football team is exclusively outfitted by the sportswear mega-brand.
