Finebaum caller: ‘If Saban signed a contract with the devil, I’d be behind him’

Nick Saban Devil
The Paul Finebaum Show is known for its colorful characters, but one recent caller just may take the cake.

University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban has been criticized heavily recently for the second chance he gave to Georgia transfer defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor, who was accused of a second bout of domestic violence last week.

A caller into the show, “Debbie,” said it doesn’t matter what decisions Saban makes, she’d follow him anywhere.

“If he signed a contract with the devil, I’d be behind him!” said Finebaum’s guest.

The woman who accused Taylor later recanted her story, and was arrested for “False Reporting to Law Enforcement.”

The charges against Taylor will be reviewed at a later date, per the police statement.

An Alabama spokesman told AL.com that it was unclear whether Taylor would be invited to rejoin the team.
