Birmingham named one of America’s most affordable cities

Birmingham, Ala. is the fifth most budget-friendly metro in the country, according to a recent study conducted by RedShift Research on behalf of Apartment Guide.

“To determine the ‘Top 10 Most Budget-Friendy Metros,’ Apartment Guide looked at their internal listing data to determine metros with the lowest average rent as well as metros with the lowest cost of living according to the Cost of Living Index by The Council for Community and Economic Research,” Apartment Guide said.

So if you want the action and opportunities that a city can offer, without the high price tag, the Birmingham metro area may be worth taking a look at.
