Doug Jones, Will Ferrell star in cringe-inducing GOTV video

In an awkward get-out-the-vote video tweeted out Friday, Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) and comedian-actor Will Ferrell teamed up to encourage Alabamians to vote in Tuesday’s general election.

Ferrell, appearing as Ricky Bobby from “Talladega Nights,” referenced a famous line from the hit movie, causing Jones to laugh so hard he buries his face in Ferrell’s chest.

“If you don’t vote, first, you’re last,” Ferrell added, before Jones echoed, “You’re last!”
