Former President Donald Trump’s scheduled June 18 appearance in Birmingham has been postponed, the American Freedom Tour confirmed with Yellowhammer News Tuesday.

The event was set to take place three days prior to the anticipated June 21 GOP primary runoff election for the U.S. Senate.

When reached for comment by Yellowhammer News, the American Freedom Tour advised that the 45th president was expected to visit Mobile on July 9.

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have been forced to postpone the event in Birmingham, Alabama,” the event series noted in response. “We are very sorry for any inconvenience. On June 18th, instead of Birmingham, we will be in Northern Mississippi, outside of Memphis. Also, we are expecting to be in Mobile, Alabama on July 9th.”

Republican U.S. Senate candidates Mike Durant and Katie Britt are vying for Trump’s endorsement as the former president dropped his support of U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) last month.

The American Freedom Tour’s event structure is formatted similar to a conference rather than a traditional Trump rally. The event series consists of all-day events featuring multiple prominent conservative figures opining on various subjects.

Event tickets, which vary in cost, are required for attendance.
