Award-winning singer and songwriter Riley Greene got some exciting news recently. The Jacksonville native was selected to be the Grand Marshal of the 14th Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix.
As part of his duties, Green will give drivers the order to “Start Your Engines!”

The event, which draws 80,000 fans annually, will be hosted at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham from April 26-28.

The race is being promoted by ZOOM Motorsports.
“We are thrilled to have Riley Green join us as the Grand Marshal for the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix,” said George Dennis, President of ZOOM. “His presence will undoubtedly elevate the event to new heights, and we look forward to welcoming him to Barber Motorsports Park.”
Last year, the event raised over $350,000 for Children’s of Alabama and had an economic impact of more than $27 million. The race is broadcast by NBC nationally and internationally to more than 100 countries. It will feature the same drivers as the INDY 500.
Prior notable Grand Marshalls of the race include Paul Finebaum, Tim Tebow, Bo Jackson, Joe Namath, Deontay Wilder, and Charles Barkley.
Tickets start at $25 and are now available for purchase. Children 15 and under are free if they are with an adult who has bought a ticket.
Children’s of Alabama provides specialized medical care for ill and injured children, serving patients from every county in Alabama and nearly every state. With more than 3.5 million square feet, it is one of the largest pediatric medical facilities in the United States.
