College GameDay heading to Atlanta for SEC Championship between Alabama and Georgia

College GameDay has officially named a location for conference championship week.

According to a video published by the program’s official social media channels, GameDay is headed to Atlanta for yet another SEC Championship showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.

It’s a rematch from one of the biggest games of the regular season where Alabama went into Athens for the first time in a decade and left with Kalen DeBoer’s second victory over Kirby Smart.

Now, DeBoer gets a chance to not only win his first SEC title in Tuscaloosa, but also lock up what would likely be a first round bye in the College Football Playoff.

With the stakes as high as any other game in the nation that week, it makes sense why Pat McAfee, Nick Saban and the entire GameDay crew are making the decision to head to Atlanta.
