Club for Growth PAC stands by Mo Brooks endorsement — The only ‘principled, pro-growth conservative in the race’

Even though former President Donald Trump withdrew his endorsement of Senate candidate U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) earlier this week, others have solidified their support for the candidacy.

President of Club for Growth PAC David McIntosh released a statement on Wednesday expressing the Political Action Committee’s continuing support of Brooks. Club for Growth PAC, the political arm of the conservative group based in D.C., first endorsed Brooks back in June 2021.

“Club for Growth PAC stands by our endorsement of Mo Brooks, and we believe he is the only principled, pro-growth conservative in the race,” McIntosh said on Twitter.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) retweeted the statement by Club for Growth PAC and also reaffirmed his support for the Senate candidate.

“I stand by my endorsement of the only liberty conservative in the Alabama Senate race,” Paul said on Twitter.

Another notable figure to endorse Brooks this week was Arizona GOP chairwoman and best-selling author Dr. Kelli Ward. Her book “Justified: The Story of America’s Audit” is about the independent Maricopa County audit of the 2020 presidential election.

Standing by the congressman at an event in Prattville yesterday, Ward said she was proud to endorse Brooks.

“I believe in the America first message and America first policies and I firmly stand with Congressman Mo Brooks who’s running to be the next Senator of the great state of Alabama,” she said.

The chairwoman also touted Brooks’ fight for election integrity.

“He stood up on January 6 and said there were questions about the election,” she explained. “He is an election integrity champion and I thank him for it, and he’s a champion for conservative values. He believes in faith, family, and freedom. The things that the people in Alabama hold dear, and the things that people in the United States hold dear.”

Ward also criticized Brooks’ opponents in the Senate race.

“The other two people who are running in this race are dangerous not only for Alabama, but also for the entire country,” she exclaimed. “We do not need another Mitt Romney type, or another Susan Collins type in the United States Senate. They are the people who are pushing us to the left, pushing us toward socialism, increasing our taxes, killing our economy, driving up gas prices, making it difficult to put food on your own table because of inflation. We don’t need any more of them.”
