In the race for Senate District 9, one candidate is feeling festive.

As the campaign cycle meets the holiday season, State Rep. Brock Colvin’s campaign is running a parody of the song “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on radio stations across the district. It’s exactly what you would imagine:

LISTEN

“January 9, a special election is coming.

Marshall and Madison and Blount will be humming when we elect the best conservative from all the rest.

Brock Colvin, the hard-nosed conservative, never ever raised a tax. He will protect our freedoms and never take from liberal PACs!

All of the other candidates are just not as strong as Brock. He cares more for our district. He’s been knocking on doors on every block!

Then one foggy December day Brock Colvin was heard to say ‘banning mask mandates I support!’ and ‘boys should not be in girls sports!’

On January 9, there’s one choice, a conservative we can trust, Brock Colvin the hard-nosed conservative. Voting Brock is a must.”

Colvin (R-Albertville) references a bill he filed for the 2024 state legislative session that would prohibit government-sanctioned mask mandates.

Three candidates are running to fill the vacancy in the Alabama State Senate: Colvin, State Rep. Wes Kitchens (R-Arab) and former gubernatorial candidate Stacy Lee George.

Senate District 9, January 9 — easy to remember. More than a few people have said this jingle is hard to forget.
