Chad Mathis kicks off AL-06 race with first web ad

On Tuesday, Republican congressional hopeful Dr. Chad Mathis, a candidate for the Alabama sixth congressional seat to be vacated by Rep. Spencer Bachus, launched his first web ad titled “Leader.”

The 60-second spot features testimonials from various individual touting the character of Mathis, who is an orthopedic surgeon from Indian Springs.

According to a release put out by the Mathis campaign, the testimonials are from people that reside in Alabama’s sixth district.

• “He is not a lifelong politician. He is simply a great father, husband, a superb physician and a good man.” – George from Vestavia Hills

• “If anybody is going to be appropriate to help get this mess straightened up it’s Chad Mathis.” – Marilyn from Helena

• “Chad’s an Alabama boy and I think he’ll do everything that it takes to fight for people in this district.” – David from Birmingham

Mathis touts his career in the medical field, which could prove to be asset for his candidacy particularly campaigning against ObamaCare in what could be a crowded field for the Republican nomination.
