Second arrested in Alabama A&M shooting

The second suspect in the Alabama A&M shooting last week has been arrested after being discharged from Huntsville Hospital. Christopher Thomas was charged with assault and booked into the Madison County Jail Sunday evening.

The Troy University Board of Trustees has reelected some familiar faces to its top leadership positions. For the position of President pro tempore, C. Gibson Vance was selected. Vance has been the president of the board since 2019 and a member of it since 2012.

One in custody after Alabama A&M shooting

Alabama A&M was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a shooting occurred outside one of the school's residence halls. The shooting allegedly began as a fight between two individuals outside of the Knight Center and resulted in three people being injured.

Huntsville City Councilman Devyn Keith pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of misdemeanor shoplifting. He was facing four counts but the state dismissed two charges.
