Case Dixon, a 26-year-old physical therapist assistant from McCalla, Alabama, has launched his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in Alabama’s 6th Congressional District. He will run as a Republican, challenging incumbent U.S. Congressman Gary Palmer, who has held the seat since 2015.

Dixon was born in Alabaster and raised in Maylene and McCalla. Homeschooled alongside his four siblings, he attributes his values to a strong upbringing centered on faith and family. He played varsity basketball through a homeschool athletic program in Pelham and pursued a career in healthcare after high school. In 2021, he became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and has worked in outpatient and home health settings throughout the Birmingham area.
According to his campaign website, Dixon first felt called to civic engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic, citing what he describes as “fear-mongering, censorship, and hypocrisy” in the government’s response. He says these events exposed systemic issues and motivated his decision to run for office.

Dixon’s platform focuses on several key issues:

Ethics Reform: Supports term limits for Congress, a ban on individual stock trading by lawmakers and their families, and greater restrictions on the use of leadership PACs.

Fiscal Policy: Emphasizes the need to reduce the national debt and rein in federal spending, warning that rising deficits endanger future economic stability and key programs like Medicare and Social Security.

Dixon’s campaign highlights a generational difference and a call for new leadership in the Republican primary. As the 2026 race takes shape, voters in the 6th District will face a choice between the steady hand of an established incumbent and a younger challenger offering a different path forward.
