Caroleene Dobson announced on Friday that she has received the endorsement of former Republican presidential candidate and entrepreneur, Vivek Ramaswamy.

Dobson has already received support and guidance from several conservative leaders in the state including U.S. Senator Katie Britt and Governor Kay Ivey.

“I am so happy to hear Caroleene has made the sacrifice needed to run for not only public office but for Congress at a time at a time when we are going to have an historic opportunity to translate a conservative, America First agenda into practice,” Ramaswamy said. “Politics is not just about your views, it’s also about the person and somebody who is in there for the right reasons, and we need more of that.”

Dobson, who lived in the same dormitory as Ramaswamy at Harvard University, thanked him for his endorsement. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy made a bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination in 2024, before strongly endorsing former President Donald Trump.

“Vivek represents a new generation of conservative leaders that understands the American dream is available to everyone regardless of their race, religion, or background,” Dobson said. “Like him, I want to provide a path that helps Americans utilize their skills, talents, and intellect to secure that dream and enjoy success in life, so his endorsement is much appreciated.”

She also took the opportunity to remind voters that her opponent Shomari Figures and the current presidential administration have financially crippled many everyday Alabamians.

“Shomari Figures and the Biden administration have given us sticker shock in the grocery aisles and gas pumps, interest rates that make it difficult to buy or sell a home, and inflation that eats away at the value of pensions and retirement plans our senior citizens depend upon to survive,” Dobson said. “Supporting more of the same is simply going to prolong the economic pain and hardships that so many among us are experiencing, but I am committed to returning to the low tax, low inflation, high income, high employment economy that our nation enjoyed just a few years ago.”
