Beer fans in Birmingham are getting a huge piece of news this week as Trim Tab Brewing has announced they have decided to sell and according to a report from Birmingham Now, Cahaba Brewing Company is in talks to purchase it.

“We’ve got some exciting changes on the horizon and wanted to keep you in the loop,” Trim Tab put on their social media this week. “We’re in talks with a local brewery that shares our love for quality craft beer and community.”

According to the report, Cahaba has been confirmed to be the company that Trim Tab is in talks with.

TrimTab’s location, located at 2721 5th Ave South in Birmingham, is set to close at the end of the year. Cahaba on the other hand, which has been open since 2016, has been expanding since then and an acquisition of Trim Tab would be their biggest move yet.
