The Brown’s Creek Public Boat Ramp on Lake Guntersville officially reopened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday. Representatives from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) and the City of Guntersville hosted the event.

The renovation, completed in January 2025, included the installation of a new three-lane launching slab and a 150-foot floating access pier. The facility, located on the west end of the Alabama Highway 69 Bridge, is one of 20 free public boat ramps on Guntersville Reservoir operated by ADCNR. It features 64 trailer spaces, three docks, security lights, and ADA accessibility.

Speakers at the event included ADCNR Commissioner Chris Blankenship, Guntersville Mayor Leigh Dollar, and Katy Norton from Marshall County Tourism and Sports.

The project was made possible through a partnership between ADCNR and the City of Guntersville, with funding primarily provided by the Wildlife Restoration Program under the Pittman-Robertson Act. Additional support came from the City of Guntersville and Innovate Alabama, a public-private initiative focused on business development in the state.
