BREAKING: Attorney general’s office to takeover Riverchase Galleria case

Sources with direct knowledge of the situation have confirmed to Yellowhammer News that Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office will takeover the entirety of the case involving the shootings at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover on Thanksgiving night.

This includes the officer-involved shooting death of Emantic “E.J.” Bradford, Jr., as well as the shootings of 12-year-old Molly Davis and 18-year-old Brian Wilson.

An official announcement could come as soon as Thursday morning.

Newly elected Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr has been handling the case up to this point, with an investigation into the shootings by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) still underway. The SBI is a division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Erron Brown, 20, has been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of Wilson already for allegedly shooting him. With the investigation still ongoing, authorities have previously explained that Brown could ultimately face more charges.

Marshall served as district attorney of Marshall County from 2001 until February 2017, when he became attorney general.
